The highly anticipated Ojai Burger is celebrating its grand opening in Orange, CA on Saturday, July 23 at noon, where the first 100 people in line can score a FREE Burger and more samples and prizes will be available throughout the day!

The highly anticipated Fusion Wagyu Burger Concept, Ojai Burger will celebrate the grand opening on Saturday, July 23Orange, California (RestaurantNews.com) A fast and quality Wagyu burger concept, Ojai Burger, celebrates its grand opening and debut in the old town of Orange on Saturday July 23, 2022 at noon. The concept is a rebranding of a popular establishment in Ojai, California, Yume Japanese Burger Cafeand will be the first of its kind in Orange County, offering a menu of burgers, fries, dessert waffles, milkshakes and more at 238 W Chapman Ave #100, one block from the pedestrian center of Orange Plaza.

To celebrate the long-awaited grand opening, the first 100 guests in line at noon will receive a FREE Burger or Sandwich of their choice. Plus, throughout the day, the menu will be offered at 50% off and each guest will have the opportunity to spin a prize wheel at checkout to earn FREE food on a future visit and a card “Supporter Since Day 1” offering 15% off all future orders for the entire first year. Other festivities will include live music on the common terrace.

Founded by longtime friends Michael Wu, Carl Tong, Kasper Hsuand Stone YangOjai Burger was conceived after a vacation in Ojai, California, when friends came across a five-star burger brand Yume Japanese Burger Cafe on Yelp. After meeting Yume founders Takeshi Ozaki, a Japanese tennis coach by trade who conceptualized his passion for cooking at his first restaurant, and his wife Chikage Ozaki, the friends decided to partner with the duo to create Ojai Burger in order to bring high quality Wagyu. burgers and other aspects of the Yume concept in Orange County and beyond. In creating the concept, the founders tapped into their collective restaurant background with the new venture – Michael Wu, Peter Yang and Kasper Hsu are the co-founders of the country’s leading poke concept. Pokeworksand Carl Tong, a career banker/investor, is the co-founder of Miyabi Uni, an upscale Japanese restaurant based in Torrance, Calif., and plans to eventually expand the brand across the country.

The Ojai Burger menu offers an assortment of Japanese-American dishes ranging from Wagyu Burgers, with patties prepared in a rich and flavorful marinade for 24 hours served on a brioche bun, to traditional Japanese Mochi waffles available in unique flavors like Ume (yam violet) and Matcha.

“Since discovering Takeshi’s Yume concept, we’ve dreamed of bringing his amazing Wagyu burgers to other parts of the state, and we’re thrilled to finally open Ojai Burger in Orange’s Old Towne Plaza” said Carl Tong. “We are hopeful the concept will take off in Orange County, due to the demand for high-quality produce and fusion cuisine that embraces flavors from other cultures, and we look forward to celebrating the grand opening. with the local community and to introduce our guests to the Wagyu burgers we fell in love with in Ojai.”

The restaurant occupies the 1,000-square-foot space formerly Buttermilk Fried Chicken, and offers intimate indoor dining space and shared patio space with neighboring Wahoo’s fish tacos. The Ojai Burger menu features an assortment of Japanese-American dishes ranging from Wagyu Burgersfeaturing patties prepared in a rich and savory marinade for 24 hours served on a brioche bun, the traditional way Japanese Mochi Waffles available in unique flavors like Ume (purple yam) and Matcha. Appetizers include Chicken Karaage, Japanese Croquettesand Takoyaki.
