Holland America Line’s 2022 ‘culinary cruises’ welcome celebrity chefs from its culinary board back on board
During each “Culinary Cruise,” guests will have the opportunity to experience chef-led cooking demonstrations, take home recipes from each presentation, and partake in an intimate, reservation-only dinner at the Pinnacle Grill. , Rudi’s Sea salt or Nami Sushi, depending on the chef. The Culinary Council chef’s signature dishes will be highlighted when available on all restaurant menus during cruises.

Holland America Line Culinary Council includes a collection of elite chefs who bring global influence to the culinary experience across the fleet. In addition to their recipes presented in the various venues on board, one evening in the dining room of each cruise, a special menu offers a collection of dishes from the members of the culinary council.
CULINARY CRUISES 2022:
Stowell incorporates the flavors of the Pacific Northwest on ships sailing in this region, using fresh and sustainable products. Alaska Seafood. A chef and artisan chocolatier trained in France, Torres guides the chocolate desserts as well as the surprise chocolate dessert parade on board. After becoming executive pastry chef at the New York one legendary Le Cirque, he opened a chocolate factory and retail stores across New York. The James Beard The winner is co-host and chief judge of the Netflix cooking show “Nailed It” with Nicole Byer.
As Holland America Line’s Executive Chef and Chairman of the Culinary Council, Austrian-born Sodamin oversees all aspects of onboard catering. by Rudi Sea salt is its eponymous onboard French seafood brasserie. His latest culinary masterpiece is an art book called “Food Faces” which features over 150 images of edible creations.
Burke enhances the Pinnacle Grill menu, adding contemporary flavors and signature recipes. He recently opened five new restaurants, including Orchard Park by david burque. During the pandemic, Burke’s #FeedtheHeroes program prepared and delivered 100,000 meals to frontline workers and charities. He has been featured on “Iron Chef America” and “Top Chef Masters”.
Japanese-born Matsuda leads the sushi offering at Nami Sushi, Tamarind and Lido Market. At Matsuda’s Sushi Chef Institute in Los Angeles, California, he teaches budding chefs and professionals about sushi and Japanese cuisine. Matsuda is at the forefront of sushi trends and techniques.
All events are free except for the specialty dinner. Each chef will be aboard their designated “culinary cruise” for four to ten days.
