Hank the Horse Coming to Rock House Brewing on Sunday

Hank can’t wait to see his friends, meet new ones and pose for photos with guests who will be featured in TOPS in Lexington.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ/RELEASE) – Hank the Horse will visit Rock House Brewing, located at 119 Luigart Court in Lexington, this Sunday, March 20 from 2-6 p.m.

For Hank’s Sake, a central Kentucky nonprofit, uses horses and horse-related learning activities to bring love, hope, and healing to vulnerable populations. Their mission is to empower communities for a better future. One of For Sake’s key initiatives is its Pages for a Purpose Literacy Excellence Program, which encourages children of all ages to achieve excellence in literacy through horses and horse-related learning activities.

“With increased literacy rates, we can see students excel in confidence, academic achievement and greater success,” said Hank’s “mom,” Tammi Jo Regan. “We have created journeys through creative, engaging and effective reading programs for children. Hank is on a mission to continue giving children a brighter future through his reading programs.

“Rock House Brewing is proud to be associated with the For Hank’s Sake family and their mission to champion literacy across the Commonwealth,” said owner Billy Hacker. “Early exposure to language is the single most important factor in language development and learning to read. We’re all here to help spread the word.
